The operating principle of the Aqua-Mat- Q outflow control is based on the setting of a defined outflow cross-section by means of a control slide valve depending on the measured throttle outflow.
If the flow increases, the slide valve is closed further. If the flow drops, the slide valve is opened further. In this way, the desired throttle discharge can be kept constant via a simple control loop.
Furthermore, the Aqua-Mat- Q control is programmed in such a way that an upper water level that can be preset as a setpoint is not exceeded. If the corresponding setpoint is reached, the control switches from flow control mode to backwater target maintenance mode.
In suction target mode, enough water is always transferred to the treatment plant so that the water level limit is not exceeded. For this function, an additional US probe is required to record the headwater level.
The accuracy of the Aqua-Mat- Q discharge control is independent of the knowledge of the discharge coefficient of the control valve used, since here it is not controlled via the disturbance variable, but via the result. Therefore, this regulation is one of the most precise of its kind.
