- Baffle body designed as a floating body with side lip seals. The geometry of the floating body is designed in such a way that enough buoyancy is generated around the entire construction to carry the whole baffle on a rising water level.

Functional requirement
In the rest position, the baffle must lean to the bottom of the tank, so that with increasing water level no floating matter can reach between the baffle and the overflow crest. With rising water level, the baffle must move vertically from the bottom to avoid floating material from getting into the cross-section between baffle and overflow crest, while at the same time releasing the maximum amount of relief water.
